We asked Dr. Indu Khosla, Paediatric Pulmonologist & Sleep Specialist, on her opinion about the Influenza Vaccine for kids:
Dr. Khosla recommends the flu shot for all kids between 0.5 – 5 years and older high risk children like those with chronic lung disease, congenital heart disease, diabetes, chronic kidney disease, immune deficiency diseases, on immune suppressants or cancer therapy.
Other kids above 5 years may be considered for the flu shot, but it is not compulsory.
